Soon you will find Android on outer space thanks to NASA, no they wont be taking a Android devices to space to play Angry Birds Space ! NASA is designing nano satellites which will run on Android Scientists at California’s Ames Research Center are usingAndroid OS, to power bona fide nanosatellites via its innovative PhoneSat project. The satellites will be 4 inch in size and will be less than 4 pounds in weight. It will cost $3,500 per nano satellites.
These nano satellites are named PhoneSat
As per NASA researchers,
PhoneSat 1.0 Flies low-cost consumer electronics in space
NASA’s prototype smartphone satellite, known as PhoneSat 1.0, is built around the Nexus One smartphone made by HTC Corp., running Google’s Android operating system. The Nexus One acts as the spacecraft onboard computer. Sensors determine the orientation of the spacecraft while the smartphone’s camera can be used for Earth observations. Commercial-off-the-shelf parts include a watchdog circuit that monitors the systems and reboots the phone if it stops sending radio signals.
NASA’s PhoneSat 1.0 satellite has a basic mission goal–to stay alive in space for a short period of time, sending back digital imagery of Earth and space via its camera, while also sending back information about the satellite’s health.
To prepare for such a mission, NASA has successfully tested PhoneSat 1.0 in various extreme environments, including thermal-vacuum chambers, vibration and shock tables, sub-orbital rocket flights and high-altitude balloons.
PhoneSat 2.0 Additional features, more capabilities
NASA’s PhoneSat 2.0 will equip a newer Nexus S smartphone made by Samsung Electronics running Google’s Android operating system to provide a faster core processor, avionics and gyroscopes.
PhoneSat 2.0 also will supplement the capabilities of PhoneSat 1.0 by adding a two-way S-band radio to allow engineers to command the satellite from Earth, solar panels to enable longer-duration missions, and a GPS receiver. In addition, PhoneSat 2.0 will add magnetorquer coils – electro-magnets that interact with Earth’s magnetic field – and reaction wheels to actively control the satellite’s orientation in space.
These is very impressive and innovating way of Android usage. Give your feedback in the comment and let me know what do you think about it?
The security flaw of Java that was included in the Blackhole exploit kit, got patched today by Oracle. Oracle released this patch today which was Slot bonus models require gamers to twist and switch their device, Curler roulette mobile.the-best-casinos-online.info/roulette.php enables the consumer to spin the reel and toss the ball in – neither which are ground-breaking ideas but both add an additional facet of play that other mobile casinos don't. originally to be pushed in October.
Install the Patch for CVE-2012-4681
It is advisable to install the patch for Java on your computer. To know more about CVE-2012-4681 and its patch please do visit the following official link of Oracle.
Recently there has been lot of malwares and virus designed with help of Java, to make the malicious code run anywhere, be it Windows , Linux or Mac. But a flaw in the Java itself which was informed to Oracle , in the month of April, has still not being patched. And thus the exploit has been public which is now included in Blackhole exploit kit, to spread virus to Windows machine.
Brain Krebs was first to find out the that CVE 2012-4681 was being added casino to the Blackhole exploit kit, security company SophosLabs also confirmed it. As of now its only known to be spreading virus on Windows computers, if Mac or Linux are effected is not confirmed yet. The version which is effected in Java 7 , as Mac”s Java version is updated by Apple that version is not yet known to be effected. But as Java 7 has been made available for Mac OS X by Oracle , if user has updated to the new version, they are at risk.
Its is wise to keep Java disabled for the time, till patches are being applied.
Recently there has been reports that the Microsoft”s Windows 8 is spying via SmartScreen. Analysis by security researcher Nadim Kobeissi have found out that there is potential privacy threat to Windows 8 users due to ScreenSmart system. The ScreenSmart is built to check if the application that the user wants to install contains malicious code.
“The big problem is that Windows 8 is configured to immediately tell Microsoft about every app you download and install,” Kobeissi wrote. “This is a very serious privacy problem, specifically because Microsoft is the central point of authority and data collection/retention here and therefore becomes vulnerable to being served judicial subpoenas or National Security Letters intended to monitor targeted users.”
The SmartScreen keeps a note of all the applications you install and researchers have also claimed that the install logs from your computer hard drive are also sent to Microsoft. And this data can be snooped by third-parties. As because the data is sent over from your computer to Microsoft over casino online SSLv2 protocol which is breakable.
Although as you might know SmartScreen can be turned off, but the system automatically gives you reminder to turn it of. And yes Microsoft have denied the fact. I am sharing a screenshot of captured packet from a Windows 8 system which clearly shows that the data is being sent to Microsoft and the data can be received by third party.
Sometimes I wonder, what could be the next big invention in computer technology? There are now countless number of social networks, to share your photos, status updates, to connect with friends, to let know the world what you are doing…Mobile phones have been becoming your personal computer and your personal computer have been becoming a super computer!!
Now we got an App to do most of the task of our most of the day to day work. The next big thing would have to be something which is really above all of this…its gets hard to imagine if it would be possible to make it happen with the current computing ecosystem, or will it be required to build something totally new to make it possible to bring that Next Big Thing? Or have we flablesbonus reached a level where there are not any new things to e created? Will t be only that we will continue to build the current technology more better…and not create anything new? Well deep down I dont thing that would be true as Science never stops,so inventions wont stop either.
What do You think, what will be The Next Big Thing in technology? Please do share your valuable comments. Thank You.
The war with patent has been going for a long time with Apple and Samsung. Today the court has declared that Samsung was found guilty of copying Apple, and was ordered to pay Over $1 Billion.
And after the trail was won by Apple. The CEO of Apple sent the following note to its employees.
Today was an important day for Apple and for innovators everywhere.
Many of you have been closely following the trial against Samsung in San Jose for the past few weeks. We chose legal action very reluctantly and only after repeatedly asking Samsung to stop copying our work. For us this lawsuit has always been about something much more important than patents or money. It’s about values. We value originality and innovation and pour our lives into making the best products on earth. And we do this to delight our customers, not for competitors to flagrantly copy.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the jury who invested their time in listening to our story. We were thrilled to finally have the opportunity to tell it. The mountain of evidence presented during the trial showed that Samsung’s copying went far deeper than we knew.
The jury has now spoken. We applaud them for finding Samsung’s behavior willful and for sending a loud and clear message that stealing isn’t right.
I am very proud of the work that each of you do.
Today, values have won and I hope the whole world listens.

Something is really wrong with Sony PlayStation as it gets hacked very often. The PSN or PlayStation Network credentials of 10 million users have been hacked and posted on the internet, by a group of hackers.
Although Sony has said that the PSN was not hacked, it is bit hard for me to believe, as have saw the user id and password hashes, with email id posted on the net.(No I am not sharing the link with you)
It is advisable to change the password of your PSN id.
